WoWoWee

I’m really fond of most of the Kapamilya shows, even Wowowee does not fail to cheer me up. It’s something that makes you “count your blessings” or at least recognize them after watching those almost-desperate people who are joining the different games played in the whole show. Watching those kinds of people, especially the kids and teens, makes you stop complaining about how out-of-trend your clothes, shoes, and cellphones are. It makes you to stop complaining about how difficult it is to make money, or how hard it is to ask your parents for money.

I must admit that there have been a number of times when I shed tears while watching the show. The one episode I really can’t forget was when they have invited the parents of the less-abled or the gifted kids to play one of their games. Here is a video that I have got from Youtube.com .. just watch it and see what I am talking about..

Just listen to the lyrics of the song “hawak kamay”..Having it sung by a gifted child makes it a lot more special, or shall I say, meaningful.

Yes there are a lot of shows that are being produced at the moment. Some are even revisions of the shows that already has made its history in the hearts of the Filipinos..but, shows like Wowowee, and I’m looking through the content (and the idea) of the show and not only its hosts, make me always ponder on what things really matter in this world..or if I have a problem, does my problem really weigh more than what the others are carrying and experiencing at the moment? Shows like that reminds you of being human, of being true, of being selfless, and a lot more. Props to the makers of Wowowee. You are truely No. 1. (charing)

Deal or No Deal?

If Kris Aquino would like to run in any position in the government, I’d like to see her in the president’s office–not as the president’s secretary, but, as the president herself. haha. I just really think she’s smarter than any of the Senate people or even the president herself. Again, I am entitled with my own opinion, and at this time, I am only kidding. That is half-meant actually. I mean to throw this thing off to the heads of those who are properly sitted in the different offices in the government. I am just pissed off, you know.

Deal or No Deal is a game of luck and chance. If one’s lucky enough to guess where the mystery 3million, 2M, or 1M pesos is placed, then he might really be the luckiest person in the world. Who else or what game or event in the whole Philippines will give you a bunch of millions for just being able to guess what briefcase it was placed? There is no other show like Deal or No Deal, I guess.

The game is played as if you were playing a guessing game. It has 26 briefcases which are carried by the 26K briefcase girls, a banker (who decides the wager), and a host (like Kris Aquino). The player chooses what briefcase among the 26 cases he/she wants to open last. Then chooses which briefcases he/she would like to be open. In the first round, 6 briefcases must be opened before the banker calls in for the wager. After the catch was made, the player was made to decide to deal or not to deal, that is to press the button means to deal, and to cover it means the other way around. The second round means that the player has to choose 5 briefcases, then, ends the round. The third round means that the player has to open 4 briefcases, then the next round, another 4 briefcases, then down to 3 briefcases, then another 2 to be opened, leaving only 2 briefcases more having the player decide to deal or not to deal. If the player decides not to deal with the offer the banker has made, then he gets whatever prize money the chosen briefcase contains, if he chooses to accept the offer, then, he gets the money offered by the banker.

The game’s just about loosing or winning it. It is about how well you manage to get the higher prize money. It’s about choosing to play the game and continuing to play until the very end. It is about how greedy you are. It is about trust in yourself that you have chosen well. It is about accepting whatver your decisions are. Like life, you win or you loose. You decide on the way to play the game. You blame yourself for the consequences, or you enjoy the prize of trusting your instincts (or other’s decisions too). It’s until playing until the end. In life, you have to choose to deal or not. So, I’m going to ask you the same, is it deal or no deal?

Does the Philippine Senate have nothing to do at all?

I am just really, really wondering why the Philippine Senate has submerged themselves into the trouble between Joey del Leon and Willie Revillame about the so-called “hidwaan at pagsisiraan” or competition in their shows–the two-year and a half noontime show of ABS-CBN against the almost 20-year old noontime show of the GMA Network.

Joey and Willie are both in showbiz, that’s why I am really wondering what the heck is the senate trying to do with the trouble! Do they have nothing to do or to discuss about at all inside the Senate? Something that is a lot more revelant and a lot more important than that to give comments or attention towards the problem between the two shows. There are a lot more laws to be focused on to, or laws to be passed..whatever things that is a lot more important than showbiz!

This “attitude” of the senate made me really decide to not to die or invest in this country. It only shows how shallow the minds of the people we have thought to be so “genius” .. those people we thought to be helping the deprived, the abused, and the like.. Just look at that, or at least think about it.. These people we elected to have their places in the senate to talk about LAWS are getting themselves involved in showbusiness!?!? I am just so dishearted, more of disappointed of the way they reacted. I can no longer hold my head up high to face the other countries, who are again, looking down at us. What they’ve done is like SUICIDE. I guess they should try to get more focused in their law business, not busy themselves with TV. This incident just affirmed my hunch about Filipino people–that Filipinos are really into TV, and nothing else. Good luck to everybody!

You can place your comments below if you want. Well I guess, I am also entitled to my own opinion.
